I love heading down south to this location. Especially when you get it to yourself most of the year....... I reckon the local sticks spend more time talking shit about bodyboarding on the cliffs here then they do in the water themselves! This usually suits us tho because we get all the kegs. They seem to shut the fuck up when they notice a booger screming through a 5 second barrel tho.... It was super fun this day with plenty to shoot!

Over the last couple of months plenty of East Coast & French invaders have been lapping up what our coastline has on offer. There have been plenty of swells on a weekly basis around WA which has been keeping me and Chris very busy behind the lense. Amaury Laverne, Pierre Louis Costes, Frogs Legs & Luca Vergnes have been scoring their fair share of slabs during their stay around WA. Over the last few months we have been putting in bulk film time with these lads and completed a comprehensive Frenchies section for our next video.

Well over the last few weeks Smiths and Supers have had some really fun days.... Plenty of reefers going around = plenty of full tapes of water footage! I'm liking this new Sony HD cam I got with the Dave Kelly! So fucking clear it gets me frothing every time I go near the TV! I really should get a fisheye soon tho....... I don’t have trouble framing any of my water shots without it but I know a fisheye would go down bullshit for the angles.

After great sales from the first video, Simple Pleasures has finally got some decent money together to put back into this little filming obsession! Our first video was based on large variety of 3 chip footage that was built up over a series of younger years but Simple Pleasures 2 will be a mixture of high quality land and water angles as we have 2 new HD's sitting at home! Plus I earnt them all myself through filming with farkin 3 chips which feels good! I have a new member on the film crew here at Simple Pleasures also! This is sick as we get 2 High Deff angles on every session now with Chris shooting land & me in the water. Anyway we have been cleaning up so check the updates.......

About the movie:

Simple Pleasures is a comprehensive bodyboarding film project that is mainly centred around the some of the best unseen action that's gone down around West Oz over the last few years, but also features crazy East Coast, New Zealand, Cook Islands, Sumatra and Reunion Island footage.

The video displays a very fresh new approach to bodyboard film making and heavily focuses on the best underground riders from all these locations that are absolutely shredding while also featuring extensive segments on the pros as well. If you are tired of watching the same locations and riders in videos over and over again you have found the solution as Simple Pleasures is jam packed with insane unseen land and water angles showcasing the best riders going huge in the best waves suited for bodyboarding.

About Metamorphous Media

Euan Morell has come up with his own production name “Metamorphous Media”. My aim in these video projects is to complete the most comprehensive sections ever made on certain riders that I believe deserve more exposure than they are receiving, and this will lift their profile, which is what I’m aiming for.
