Interview: Cameron Sinclair - By Euan Morell

I managed to catch up with Sydney Northern Beaches underground rider Cameron Sinclair and asked him a couple of questions about what he’s been up to and what are his plans for the year.

So cam how old are you?

I am 20

Where is your place u call home?

St Ives which is 15 mins drive from the beach. I have a second home at my mate Jasons house at Mona vale there a good bunch.

Who is your role model/inspiration?

I would have to say Ben Player, Dan Crozier, Matt Withaar and Dave Winny, because surfing the Northern beaches I always see them out in the surf doing crazy and stylish shit.

So what are the Sydney Northern Beaches like to surf?

Oh its good when there is some good swell around. Theres Little Av reef that gets pretty good some times and whale beach wedge is good. You get the odd good beach break here and there.

So who are the Companys that put up with you?

TBR (team bus rider),Kameah and judgement.

Oh yes Team Bus Rider, tell us about them and whats installed?

There a company from West Oz that have put up with me for over a year now and are still going. It’s a good company, we got new t-shirts and stickers out and have some new sick ideas for the future so look out for us.

What do u hope to achieve from bodyboarding?

Just to have fun with my mates in the surf and go in comps here and there and hopefully get good results and do my sponsors proud.

Also just before I get ride of you, what are your plans for the rest of the year?

Well at the moment I have got my Hawaii mates staying with me. They are in Aussie for a month, then after that maybe do some comps and help out TBR with ideas for up and coming products and such. Also keep saving for Hawaii at the end of the year.
